Week One – Field Research

Today I went out to visit allotments, garden centres, DIY stores, and people both interested and uninterested in Kitchen Gardening. I have some pictures and notes taken that I will upload here as soon as I go through them.

I have also created a preliminary survey to gain a little insight into this field. As surveymonkey is limited to only 10 questions, it forced me to decide the best ones to ask:

I will be visiting two farmer’s markets tomorrow, and will be conducting interviews with some people who have been growing kitchen gardens for some time. I also have organised meetings with some horticulturists for next Saturday.

Week One – Narrowing the Scope

My Strategic Focus Statement:

“I am trying bring the Potager Garden experience to those who are interested in this area, but may not live in the ideal situation, may not have the proper expertise, or may not have sufficient time to provide the necessary care”

Now this this has been ironed out, it gives me a good solid starting point.
